Shaakuntalam motion poster out: Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Dev Mohan’s movie to release on this date

On Friday, the makers of Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan’s ‘Shaakuntalam’ dropped an intriguing motion poster and also announced its release date. Directed by Gunasekhar, the film is all set to release on November 4, 2022.

Taking to her official Twitter handle, Samantha shared the motion poster of ‘Shaakuntalam’ and wrote, “#EpicLoveStory #Shaakuntalam in Theatres from November 4th 2022 Worldwide! #ShaakuntalamOnNov4 @Gunasekhar1@ActorDevMohan @neelima_guna @SVC_official @GunaaTeamworks @tipsofficial (sic).”

The film is based on a popular Indian play titled Shakuntala, written by Kalidasa. While Samantha plays the role of Shakuntala, Dev Mohan will be seen as King Dushyant.

The film Shaakuntalam has an ensemble star cast including Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhu Bala, Gautami, Jisshu Sengupta, and many other notable actors. Another added attraction to the star cast is icon Star Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha portraying the role of Prince Bharata.

Produced by Neelima Guna, the movie is jointly bankrolled by the banners of Gunaa Teamworks and Sri Venkateswara Creations. Music is composed by Mani Sharma.
