Samsung has unveiled a new budget-friendly 5G smartphone Galaxy F42 5G for the Indian market. The phone comes with a high refresh rate, Infinity-V display. The handset comes as a successor to the Galaxy F41 and brings 5G network connectivity. The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G houses an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. Samsung Galaxy F42 5G price in India starts at Rs. 20,999 for the base 6GB RAM variant. The phone also comes in an 8GB RAM model that is priced at Rs. 22,999. Both phones come with 128GB of onboard storage option.
The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G comes in two colors – Matte Aqua and Matte Black. It will go on sale in the country starting Sunday, October 3 through Flipkart, Samsung Online Store, and select retail outlets in the country.

Coming to the camera section, the Galaxy F42 5G features a triple-camera setup at the back. It consists of a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth camera. For selfies and video chats, the phone carries an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front.
The new Samsung Galaxy F42 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. For biometric authentication, there is also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C.
