Reliance Jio down: Users unable to make calls and send messages due to network outage

Reliance Jio users across the country are facing issues making calls and sending messages. Several users took to the microblogging platform Twitter to complain about the issue. While some claimed that they are unable to make calls, others said that they are unable to send/receive messages from their Jio numbers. A section of users also complained that they are unable to use mobile internet.

According to Downdetector, the outage peaked between 6 am to 9 am Tuesday morning. Outage detection website DownDetector also showed that hundreds of users are affected by the Jio outage, with reports flying in from all major cities including Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata.

However, Jio still has no official statement on the outage as of now although the issues now seem to be fixed. The cause of the disruption is still not known.
