Rajinikanth discharged from hospital after carotid surgery, shares pic

Superstar Rajinikanth returned home on Sunday after undergoing a carotid artery revascularisation surgery at a hospital in Chennai.

Rajnikanth had been admitted to the Kauvery Hospital in Chennai since Thursday.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Rajinikanth updated his fans about the news by sharing a picture of himself praying in front of his home temple. Sharing the picture he wrote, “Returned home,” and added a folded hands emoticon to it.

The actor had previously been hospitalized to a Hyderabad hospital in December 2020 due to fluctuating blood pressure and tiredness.

Rajinikanth is also the recipient of the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian award, and has appeared in both Bollywood and South Indian films. He has a huge fan base.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rajinikanth is awaiting the release of Annaatthe which is going to be a big Diwali release this year, hitting the theatres on November 4.
