Pakistan PM Imran Khan tests positive for coronavirus days after taking Chinese vaccine dose

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has tested positive for COVID-19. The nation’s health minister said in a tweet on Saturday.
Currently, Khan is “self isolating at home,” minister Faisal Sultan wrote in a tweet.

According to the report, on March 18, Imran Khan had taken the first shot of the Chinese coronavirus vaccine Sinopharm. Sinopharm, the only vaccine currently available in Pakistan, requires two doses.

Earlier, China donated 5,00,000 doses of Sinopharm to Pakistan on February 1, enabling the country to launch a vaccination drive a day later.
Pakistan PM received the first shot of the vaccine after the second consignment of the vaccine was delivered from China to Pakistan on March 17.
