Oppo Reno 6 5G and Reno 6 Pro 5G to launch in India today at 3 pm: live streaming details and specs

Chinese smartphone brand Oppo is scheduled to launch the Reno 6 5G and Reno Pro 6 5G smartphones in India today. The company will hold a virtual event at 3 pm today to launch the new Reno 6 series smartphones in India. The event’s live stream will be available on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.

The company is going to bring the Reno 6 5G and the Reno 6 Pro 5G to India a month after their China launch. Flipkart has created a microsite of the upcoming launch.

As per the webpage, Oppo Reno 6 5G and Oppo Reno 6 5G Pro will feature a transparent matte finish design on the back. Buyers will be to choose the two-color options Aurora and Stellar Black color variants.

Besides the smartphones, at the launch event today, Oppo will also announce a blue color variant for its flagship EncoX truly wireless Bluetooth earphones alongside Oppo Reno 6 series. The Oppo EncoX true wireless earphones integrate the Nordic audio giant Dynaudio’s expertise.

According to the company, Oppo is launching the Reno 6 5G smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset. The MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset, is built using the latest exceptionally power-efficient 6nm production process. It supports Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, ultra-fast FHD+ 120Hz displays, and up to 108MP main camera for an all-around unparalleled and incredible experience.

Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G will be powered by the MediaTek flagship chipset – Dimensity 1200 5G SoC. Combined with the powerful 5G SoC, the smartphone will offer 22 percent faster CPU performance. In fact, the octa-core Dimensity 1200 features one of the fastest smartphone CPUs ever.

Furthermore, Oppo Reno 6 series incorporates 65W SuperVOOC 2.0, faster, safer, and more stable low voltage flash charging technology, the company said.

Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G and Reno 6 5G will usher in the new era of smartphone videography with its industry-first Bokeh Flare Portrait Video, a cinematic Bokeh Flare Effect, the brand said.
