Motorola Edge 30 set to launch in India on May 12, confirmed company

The Lenovo-owned tech giant Motorola is all set to launch its new 5G smartphone Motorola Edge 30 in India on May 12, as per the company Tweet. The official teaser has confirmed the phone could come with the Snapdragon 778G+ chipset. The Motorola Edge 30 could feature a 6.5-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it will be equipped with a 4,020mAh battery with 33W fast charging support as well. The company also revealed the Motorola Edge 30 will be available on Flipkart.

Specifications of the Indian variant of Motorola Edge 30 are expected to be similar to that of the global variant. The Motorola Edge 30 features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 778G+ processor, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage.

In terms of camera, the Motorola Edge 30 features a triple camera setup on the rear which includes a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel camera for selfies.

For the connectivity options, the phone supports 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone also has an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

The handset houses a 4,020mAh battery that supports 33W TurboPower charging. However, till now the company has yet to announce the price of the handset in India.
