The Chinese tech giant Huawei has launched its new mid-range smartphone Huawei Nova 5i Pro in China. The smartphone has HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC processor.
The key highlights of the Nova 5i Pro have include quad rear camera and hole-punch display design. Alongside the launch of the Nova 5i Pro smartphone, the company also introduced Huawei Mate 20 X 5G smartphone. However, the launch date of the Huawei Nova 5i Pro in India has not been revealed yet. The smartphone comes with a 6.26-inch full-HD+ touchscreen display resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The Nova 5i Pro has a sleek and bezel-less design and a metallic frame which gives a premium look. It runs EMUI 9.1.1 based on Android 9 Pie out of the box. The device is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC and paired with 6GB of RAM and 256 of storage. The phone’s dimensions are 159.1×75.9×8.3mm, and it weighs 178 grams.
As far as the cameras are concerned, Huawei has added a quad rear cameras in Nova 5i Pro. The primary sensor is a 48MP shooter with an f/1.8 lens, an 8MP secondary wide-angle lens, a 2MP micro-lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there’s a 32MP camera with an aperture of f/2.0 lens. Moreover, the camera also supports some impressive features such as HDR, night mode, portrait mode, and time-lapse.
Among other specifications, the phone packs a powerful 4,000mAh battery, and it also supports 20W fast charging. For the connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, and compass sensors.
Huawei Nova 5i Pro price and availability
The Huawei Nova 5i Pro price in China has been set at CNY 2,199 (approx Rs. 22,000). for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Whereas, the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option is priced at CNY 2,499 (approx Rs. 25,000). And the higher-end variant 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant at CNY 2,799 (approx Rs. 28,000).
Huawei is also taking the pre-orders for the Nova 5i Pro through the VMall.com site. However, this smartphone will be going on sale in China on August 2.
