Google Rolls Out Redesigned Search Menu With New Icons

The New Changes Is Now Live For Everyone Worldwide.

Google has started rolling out the new update to its search menu. The new update changes the top search menu and adds relevant icons to it.

The new search menu gets a magnifying glass icon colored with Google’s logo theme red, blue, yellow, and green. As well as, includes the icons in regular search category names like News, Images, Shopping, Flights, Videos, and more. When you clicked the image icon, you can see Google has added some exciting features in it. You will see a collection icon on the right top along with the SafeSearch, the collection tab would let you save the images you search in one place, and the SafeSearch would allow you to filter explicit images and results.

The last time Google included icons with the search category names was back in 2010. Search Engine Land notes that the icons disappeared in 2011. According to the report, Google has been testing the latest design since March this year. When you click on the news tab, it will allow you to sort the news according to your preferences, e.g., most recent, past 1 hour, past day, or past month; it will also allow you to grab the news that is more relevant to the search. As well as, when you click on the videos, it will enable you to sort the videos and see the results by applying filters from the dropdown menu according to time, duration, quality, and source.
