Samsung Galaxy A8 Star Gets Android Pie update

Samsung has announced that its Galaxy A8 star has started receiving Android Pie Update. The latest update brings June 2019 Security patch.

We want to inform, alongside the Galaxy A8 Star, users in India are also getting the Android Pie update on the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro. However, the Galaxy J7 Pro originally received the new Android version in Russia earlier this month, and now it’s rollout in Russia, Mexico, Spain, and Algeria.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star was launched in India In August last year for Rs. 34,990. Moreover, previously it was running Android Oreo 8.1.

Samsung Galaxy A8 Star Android Pie Update feature

The latest update bring Android Pie based One UI interface as well as Google’s Digital Wellbeing feature. The features are also included with a system-wide Night mode, gesture-based navigation system, and Lift-to-wake gesture support.

To get the new Android Pie update on your Samsung Galaxy A8 Star or Galaxy J7 Pro, you need to go Settings > Software update > Download update manually.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a 6.3inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display alongside with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Besides that, it also designs with 3D glass and metal frame. It is powered by Qualcomm (SDM660) Octa-Core (2.2GHz Quad + 1.8GHz Quad) processor. The Smartphone also paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. Moreover, the users can expand the external memory up to 400GB. For the camera specifications, it has 16-megapixel and 24-megapixel sensors, both featuring f/1.7lens. As well as on the front side it has a 24-megapixel sensor for a selfie with an f/2.0 lens. The camera also offers some extra features such as Face Unlock, Smart Beauty, and Pro Lighting and AR sticker support. The handset is packed with a 3,700mAh battery. For the connectivity, it has 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11, dual-SIM (Nano), GPS, and USB Type-C.
