Next-generation Remote Collaboration Experience Is Here, Facebook Introduced Horizon Workrooms
Facebook today launched the open beta of Horizon Workrooms to give a flagship experience that allows people to come together and work in the same virtual room.
The beta version has been made available free to download on Oculus Quest, and people can download it from the countries where Quest 2 is supported. Working from remote places is not a new thing. In fact, work from home is now the new normal. Sometimes working from becomes difficult when it’s about collaboration. Poeple face lots of challenges to connect on a collaboration.
According to Facebook, this new flagship collaboration experience works across both virtual reality and the web. It has been designed aiming that teams can seamlessly communicate, collaborate and connect remotely through VR technology.
From explaining anything on a whiteboard, Working on a document, staying updated, hanging out, everything is possible with this new virtual meeting place, Horizon Workrooms.
It also has features such as a mixed-reality desk and keyboard tracking, remote desktop streaming, hand tracking, video conferencing integration, spatial audio, and the new Oculus Avatars.
Facebook mentioned as Workroom is a mixed reality experience, users do not require to leave their tools such as desk, computer, and keyboard.
Besides the remarkable feature and easiness, Facebook has also looked after the safety and privacy of the users. Horizon Workroom will not use suer’s conversation and materials to inform ads on Facebook. Besides, any third-party apps do not access, view, or use images or videos to trigger ads. If any user does not allow it, no other person would be able to see the user’s computer screen.
