Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Gaming Phone Launched With Snapdragon 855 SoC

Xiaomi Black Shark 2 gaming phone has launched in China. The new phone comes with Snapdragon SoC 855 and also a liquid cooling 3.0 technology.

According to the report, the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 comes with almost all the premium features. First of all, to help the gamers the company has included pressure-sensitive technology system around the screen of the phone. Besides that, it also included a liquid cooling 3.0 technology that is covered with a large heat-conducting copper plate. The phone additionally claimed to offer a touch response time of 43.5ms and Snapdragon SoC 855 processor. The Black Shark has launched in China on March 18, along with this Xiaomi also launched the Redmi 7 smartphone in China on the same day.

Design and display of Black Shark 2

The front of the device has a waterdrop notch with comparatively thick bezels at the bottom. It also has a full gradient finish design. The Black Shark 2 sports with a 6.39-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) AMOLED display along with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 403ppi of pixel density. The Xiaomi has also said that the screen of the phone offers better color accuracy. The display of the phone also provides magic pressure-sensing technology that works similar to Apple’s 3D touch. The new touch algorithm that is designed to reduce the touch response time on the display to as low as 43.5 milliseconds.

The camera specification

The phone has dual rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor that comes with an f/1.75 lens. There is also a 12-megapixel secondary sensor along with an f/2.2 lens. At the front side, for selfies, it has a 20-megapixel sensor along with an f/2.0 lens. The rear camera also supports 2X optical zoom.

The performance and storage capacity

The Black Shark 2 gaming phone has Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC processor. It could be run on Android Pie 9.0. This gaming phone comes with two variants base model with 6GB RAM+128GB internal storage and second is 12GB RAM+128GB storage. It also has dual front firing speaker audio along with artificial intelligence (AI)-based noise reduction system and anti-howling sound experience.

Battery, connectivity, and sensor

The phone has 4,000 mAh battery along with 27W fast charging. The connectivity options include dual-SIM (Nano), 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C port. The phone also has an accelerometer, ambient light, in-display fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, and magnetometer.

The pricing and availability of Black Shark

The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 price has set at CNY 3,199 (approx Rs. 32,700) for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage model. And the 12GB/128GB storage model comes with a price tag at CNY 4,199 (roughly Rs. 42,900).

The phone is available in two color option Shadow Black, and Frozen Silver. The buyers can also give a pre-order through the official Black Shark website, TMall, and JD.com. The company also announced that Black Shark would be coming to India very soon.
