Twitter apologized to the Indian Government for showing Ladakh in China
Social media giant Twitter Inc. has apologized to a parliamentary panel for showing Ladakh as part of China.
According to sources, Twitter has told the Parliamentary Committee on Personal Data Protection that it will rectify its error by November 30.
Speaking on the issue, Parliamentary panel’s chairperson Meenakshi Lekhi said, Twitter’s chief privacy officer Damien Kieran sent an apology letter to the Joint Committee on the Personal Data Protection Bill after the company geo-tagged India’s northern territory of Ladakh in neighboring China.
“Twitter has apologized for hurting Indian sentiments,” said Lekhi.
