Trisha’s first look unveiled as Princess Kundavai from Ponniyin Selvan

After Vikram, Karthi, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the makers of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan unveiled a new poster of Trisha from the film.

In the poster, she looks beyond beautiful. The actress is introduced as a courageous woman, princess Kundavai.

Taking to Twitter, the makers of Ponniyin Selvan shared Trisha's poster and wrote, “In a world of men, a woman of courage. Presenting Princess Kundavai! #PS1 releasing in theatres on 30th September in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada! @MadrasTalkies_ #ManiRatnam @arrahman (sic).”

‘Ponniyin Selvan' is based on a historical fiction novel of the same name, written by author Kalki Krishnamurthy. The novel tells the story of Rajaraja Chola I of the Chola dynasty.

‘Ponniyin Selvan' will release in two parts, and the first part will be debuted in cinemas on September 30 in five languages – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.

Directed by Mani Ratnam, Ponniyin Selvan – Part 1 has a stellar cast including Vikram, Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sarath Kumar, Vikram Prabhu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Prabhu, Parthiban, and Prakash Raj.

‘Ponniyin Selvan Part One' is being jointly produced by Mani Ratnam and Lyca Productions while Siva Ananth is the film’s Executive Producer. A.R. Rahman will be composing the music and Ravi Varman has been roped in for cinematography.
