Train leaves on return journey from Thiruvananthapuram to Delhi

Thiruvananthapuram, May 15 (IANS) The first train to Delhi from here, following the resumption of select train services earlier this week, left at 7.45 p.m. on Friday with 295 passengers – 183 men and 112 women – aboard.

It will take more passengers from Ernakulam and from Kozhikode and will reach Delhi on Sunday.

Though 299 passengers had booked, two who did not have a travel pass, and another two others who had issues in their ticket, were not allowed to board the train.

Before boarding, all the passengers were examined by a panel of medical professionals and instructed that all through they should wear a mask and all the protocols should be observed.

This train had reached here on Friday morning from Delhi.
