Taapsee Pannu shares a BTS video of how she portrays Mithali Raj in Shabaash Mithu

Actress Taapsee Pannu is all set to play the skipper of Team India women cricket team, Mithali Raj, in the biopic ‘Shabaash Mithu’. She is currently busy with promotional activities for the film.

The actress recently took to social media to share a video of herself prepping for the role of Mithali Raj.

In the video, Taapsee can be seen going through rigorous physical training and practice sessions on the cricket pitch to get hold of her techniques and mannerisms of Mithali.

Sharing the video on Twitter, she said, “Blood sweat and lot of bruises! #ShabaashMithu What went into me becoming the one n only @M_Raj03 on screen (sic).”

‘Shabaash Mithu’ is a biographical sports drama film directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Viacom18 Studios. The film is based on the life of former Test and ODI captain of the India women’s national cricket team, Mithali Raj. It stars Taapsee Pannu in titular role. The film is slated to release in theatres on July 15.
