State Bank lifted the obligation to maintain a monthly average balance on saving account

SBI said that their customers will no longer have to pay any charge for maintaining monthly average balance in their savings accounts and for SMS services.

However, they have temporarily lifted the minimum balance rule in the savings account since last March.

According to the source of authorities they have taken this step to provide financial solution to the crisis of coronavirus (COVID-19).
