Smriti Irani tests negative for COVID-19, people wishes her on social media

Union Minister Smiriti Irani on Thursday said she has recovered from COVID-19. She herself recently has given the information about it on social media.

Today she said through her Twitter handle, and wrote, “I have tested negative for COVID. Would like to extend my grateful thanks to everyone for their good wishes & prayers”.

Soon after the minister made the announcement, many of them wish poured in for her on Twitter.

One of them, Kiren Rijiju, the MP from Arunachal Pradesh has wished her on Twitter, and wrote, ” Congratulations @smritiirani Ji. Best wishes on your back to assiduously non-stop style of working for the Welfare of Women, Weavers, and Working-class!”

Earlier, on October 28, Smriti Irani took to social media and said that she is fighting against coronavirus infection. She was written, “It is rare for me to search for words while making an announcement; hence here’s me keeping it simple – I’ve tested positive for #COVID and would request those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested at the earliest”.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India’s coronavirus tally neared the 87 lakh mark on Thursday. India’s covid-19 tally stands at 86,83,917 and the death toll at 1,28,121.
