Shooting of Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Brahmastra’ comes to an end after 5 years

After 5 years, director Ayan Mukerji has finally completed the shooting of ‘Brahmastra’ with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. Today, Ayan penned a heartfelt note and described the journey of filming Brahmastra in a few lines. He also shared photos with Ranbir and Alia.

“And finally It’s a Wrap! 5 years since we took our first shot on Brahmstra, and we’ve finally filmed our last one! Absolutely incredible, challenging, once-in-a-lifetime journey!!! Some hand of destiny that we finished the shoot of ‘Part One: Shiva’ in Varanasi – a city infused with the spirit of Shiv Bhagwan, and that too at the most sacred Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, allowing us to finish in an atmosphere of purity, joy and blessings Exciting days ahead, last lap ahead ! 09.09.2022 – Here we come ! (sic),” he wrote.

As the film’s journey came to an end, director and producer Karan Johar also posted a video.

Sharing the video he wrote, “And this wonderful, exciting, thrilling journey…one filled with the utmost hardwork, dedication, love & passion has come to an end. Only for it to unravel on the big screens for you to experience!! #Brahmastra Part One – Shiva is coming to cinemas on 09.09.2022 (sic)!.”

Titled Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, Dharma Productions on Tuesday took to social media to share two photos after wrapping the film. In the photos, Alia, Ranbir, and Ayan were seen dressed in casuals and visiting a temple. Another photo was from the shoot at the Ganga river on a boat.

“AND THAT IS A WRAP ON THE SPECTACLE THAT AWAITS YOU! #Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva in cinemas near you on 09.09.2022,” the tweet read.

Apart from Alia and Ranbir, the film also stars veteran Amitabh Bachchan, South megastar Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy, and even Shah Rukh Khan in a reported cameo role.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus, and Starlight Pictures, ‘Brahmastra’ will release theatrically on 9th September, 2022, in 5 Indian languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
