Shilpa Shetty’s family tests Covid positive, the actress has tested negative

Shilpa Shetty revealed today that almost her entire household has been infected by COVID and that it’s been a tense few days.

She took to Instagram to inform her fans and followers that Raj Kundra, Samisha, Viaan, her mother, and parents-in-law tested positive for the virus.

The actress wrote, “The last 10 days have been difficult for us as a family. My parents-in-law tested positive for Covid-19 followed by Samisha, Viaan-Raj, my mom, and lastly, Raj. They have all been in isolation in their rooms at home as per the official guidelines and have been following the doctor’s advice. Two of our in-house staff members have also tested positive and they are being treated at a medical facility. By God’s grace, everyone is on the road to recovery. My tests came back negative (sic),”

As soon as she shared the post, Kartik Aryan, Varun Dhawan, Suniel Shetty, Madhuri Dixit, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Malaika Arora, Bhumi Pednekar among others wished them a speedy recovery.

Shilpa also thanked everyone for their love and support and urged all to mask up. “All safety measures have been followed as per protocol, and we are grateful to the BMC and the authorities for their prompt help and response. Thank you for all your love and support. Please continue to keep all of us in your prayers. Please mask up, sanitise stay safe; and whether Covid positive or not still stay positive mentally (sic),” saying she ended the note.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shilpa Shetty is currently a judge on Super Dancer – Chapter 4. However, Malaika Arora has been roped in to fill in for the actress for a few episodes. The actress will also be seen in ‘Hungama 2’, alongside Paresh Rawal, Meezan, Pranitha Subhash, among others.
