Shershaah trailer out: Sidharth Malhotra brings Capt Vikram Batra alive on screen
The trailer of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani-starrer ‘Shershaah’ has been finally released on Yesterday. The film is based on the life of Kargil War hero Captian Vikram Batra. The trailer has launched ahead of Kargil Divas on July 26.
For the unversed, Sheshaah is based on the life of Kargil War hero Captain Vikram Batra. Sidharth Malhotra stars in the titular role in the film, while Kiara Advani will be seen playing the role of Batra’s girlfriend, Dimple Cheema. Captain Vikram Batra was called Shershaah by his teammates in his unit.
Taking to his Twitter Sidharth Malhotra has written, “Captain Vikram Batra reporting on duty! The wait is finally over, I’m honoured to present to you the legendary story of our Kargil War Hero (sic).”

The film is directed by Tamil director Vishnu Vardhan and marks his directorial debut in Bollywood. It is co-produced by Dharma Productions and Kaash Entertainments.
Apart from Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, Shershaah also stars Shiv Panditt, Raj Arjun, Pranay Pachauri, Himanshu Ashok Malhotra, Nikitin Dheer, Anil Charanjeett, Sahil Vaid, Shataf Figar, and Pawan Chopra in pivotal roles.
“Shershaah” is set to release on August 12 on Amazon Prime Video.
