Samsung Galaxy F42 5G starts receiving Android 13-Based One UI 5.0 update in India
Samsung started rolling out the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for the users of Galaxy F42 5G in India. Launched on September 2021, the handset came with Android 11-based One UI 3.1. In July this year, it received the Android 12-based One UI 4 update.
According to SamMobile, this new update brings a number of optimization features along with the November 2022 security patch. The new firmware version is E426BXXU3CVKC. In Sri Lanka and other Asian countries, the Galaxy F42 5G is said to receive the update within the next few days, the report also said.
If you are not getting the update notification, you can try checking for an update manually by going to Software update > Download and install.

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G features a 6.6-inch FullHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop-style notch. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, along with up to 8GB of RAM. The device runs on Android 11 with One UI 3.1 on top.
Coming to the camera section, the Galaxy F42 5G features a triple-camera setup at the back. It consists of a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth camera. For selfies and video chats, the phone carries an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front.
The new Samsung Galaxy F42 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. For biometric authentication, there is also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C.
