Samantha to be part of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne

South Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been invited as a special guest at the prestigious Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. The festival will commence on August 12 in Australia. She will interact with the audience and deliver a speech about her career before a live audience. Samantha revealed that she is excited to represent Indian cinema on a global platform.

“Last year, even though I was a part of the IFFM virtually, I could feel the energy and vibe because of the enthusiasm of all the participants. With the world opening up and given the opportunity to travel to Australia to be part of the festival in person and experience that energy firsthand is something I’m looking forward to. Celebrating Indian cinema in all its diversity with communities of both Indians and cinema lovers is an exciting feeling,” Hindustan Times quoted Samantha.

She also added, “I am sure interacting with those who love and respect the art of cinema would be a pleasant experience. Plus, film festivals are great common grounds to unify all things we love about going to the movies.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Samantha will next be seen in director duo Hari and Harish’s ‘Yashoda’. His film, ‘Shakuntalam’, with Gunasekar, is currently in the post-production stage.
