Reliance Jio GigaFiber To Be Commercially Launch On September 5
Jio Fiber Will Be Available Across The Country From Rs. 700 To Rs. 10,000.
Reliance Jio has announced a new broadband service called Jio Fiber, at the company’s AGM event. It will be offering fast broadband speeds of up to 1Gbps.
Reliance Jio Fiber data plans will start from Rs 700 and go up to Rs 10,000. The base plan of Jio Fiber will offer 100 Mbps data speed, and the maximum speed will go up to 1Gbps.
The plan will come with a landline phone, and it will offer free calls on any network in the country. It will also include a set-top box for access to cable TV channels, and high-definition entertainment said ‘Mukesh Ambani.’
Reliance Jio Founder Mukesh Ambani also says, “Over the past year, we have built significant momentum in our Jio Fiber rollout, and we are confident that we will complete our network rollout within the next 12 months.”
Jio Fiber data plans will be bundled with subscriptions to premium OTT platforms. However, the company hasn’t revealed which OTT its plans will be offered. At present, Jio users get a free subscription to Hotstar and Netflix. Jio also announced a Welcome Offer for their users who will opt the Jio Fiber annual plans. These customers will get an HD or 4K LED TV and a 4K set-top box free.
The company also announced a Jio premium Jio Fiber plan for its customers. This plan would be able to provide new movies released on the same day. The service is called ‘First Day First Show’ which will be available during mid-2020. However, the Jio does not clear how individual pricing will vary for these services.
Once Jio Fiber is successfully launched commercially across the country, interested customers can register for it through the My Jio app or Jio’s official website.
