Redmi A1 launched in India with MediaTek Helio A22 SoC: Check price and specifications

The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi today has launched its first A-series smartphone in India, called Redmi A1. This one of the company’s budget-friendly smartphones comes with some interesting features such as a water-drop style notch display, an octa-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor, and a 5,000mAh battery. Redmi A1 price in India and availability:

The Redmi A1 price in India has been set at Rs. 6,499 for the sole 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. It comes in Classic Black, Light Green, and Light Blue color options. The handset will be available for purchase in the country through Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and Xiaomi’s retail partners starting September 9.

The phone features a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop-style notch. Under the hood, the device is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. Further, the user can expand the internal memory up to 512GB through a microSD card.

For optics, the Redmi A1 comes with an AI-backed dual rear camera setup that comprises an 8-megapixel primary sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video chats, the phone has a 5-megapixel front camera.
