Rajinikanth announces he will not start a political party

Superstar Rajinikanth has announced that he will not be starting his political party due to his recent health issues.

On Tuesday, Rajinikanth posted a tweet saying he doesn’t want to make the people who believe in him feel like a scapegoat, however, his recent health conditions have come as a warning.

Rajinikanth has said that he takes the recent development over his health condition as a ‘warning from God’ and he will not go ahead with his plans to take the political plunge for the 2021 Tamil Nadu election.

In a 3-page statement Tweeted out in Tamil, the actor apologized to fans and well-wishers who were highly anticipating his foray, mentioning that only he understands the pain of making this announcement.

Rajinikanth further said, “I see this as a warning given to me by the Lord. If I campaigned only through the media and social media after I started the party, I would not be able to create political upheaval among people and win big in the elections. No one with political experience will deny this reality.”

The major announcement by Rajinikanth comes two days after his discharge from a hospital in Hyderabad where he was undergoing treatment after suffering from high blood pressure. Rajinikanth underwent treatment for three days before he returned to his Chennai residence.

Rajinikanth, who is 70 years old, has been advised to complete bed rest for one week to help avoid stress in view of his post-kidney transplant status, labile hypertension, and age.

Rajinikanth had announced his plans to launch his political party in January ahead of the Tamil Nadu assembly elections in 2021. However, days ahead of the launch, Rajinikanth has canceled the plans.

He also requested his fans and the people of Tamil Nadu to respect and accept his decision, he signed off by saying that he never hesitated in telling the truth.
