Poco F1 Smartphone Starts Getting MIUI Update

The Poco F1 Update Brings The May 2019 Android Security Patch.

Poco F1 Smartphone has started receiving MIUI v10.3.5.0 Update with May 2019 Android security patch. This update brings lots of improvements and features.

General Manager Poco India C Manmohan said on Tuesday, the MIUI v10.3.5.0 update for the Poco F1 Smartphone has rollout in India.

We would like to remember you; the smartphone was launched in India last year with Android Oreo-based MIUI. The company later updated the device to Android 9.0 Pie. The phone was launched at Rs 20,999, for the 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant. However, recently the handset gets a price drop, and it is available for Rs. 17,999. The Poco F1 MIUI v10.3.5.0 Update features

The new update carries firmware version MIUI v10.3.5.0.PEJMIXM and is 387MB of size. The update also brings a customizable lock screen clock. This can be added by going to Settings > Lock screen & password > Advanced settings. However, the changelog reveals that the new lock screen clock will not work with third-party themes. The new MIUI update also adds sorting principles for WiFi networks, and it fixes the issue with dual apps being disappeared after a reboot. Moreover, the update also includes various system-level performance improvements and bug fixes.

You would be able to manually check for the latest MIUI update by going to Settings > About phone > System update on your Poco F1 Smartphone.

Besides that, Head of PocoGlobal Alvin Tse confirmed that the Poco F1 Smartphone would be updated to Android Q. However, he did not reveal the exact timeline when the company will roll out the latest Android Q update.
