PM Narendra Modi, Passes Greeting Towards Wildlife Lovers, Tweets Using #InternationalTigerDay

Like every year, July 29th is being celebrated as international tiger day, and people showing support for tigers by trending #InternationalTigerDay.

The day that particularly dedicated to the big cats that are our national animal also.
In nature, the tigers are at the top of the food chain. They would be found in a large sector across the globe. But, due to deforestation, poachers interfering in forests, the number of these predators has fallen drastically.
Currently, there are 9 types of subspecies of tigers that live in different regions and countries. But sadly, there are many countries where people have killed these animals to the extinct. In India, the Bengal tiger is world-famous for its size and charm. In various places, people have killed these royal animals to extinction. That’s the reason there are very few tigers are left in the world.

India had taken the initiative and launched a project to conserve the tigers in 1973. According to reports, there were nearly 2967 tigers in India, counted in the year 2018. However, to create more awareness amongst people to save these big cats, PM Modi and many other renowned personalities have tweeted to celebrate international tiger day 2021.

In his tweet, he mentions that India is home to 70% of the total tiger population globally, and India is committed to maintaining a tiger-friendly ecosystem.
