Paytm partners with IRCTC to offer ticket booking, PNR status checks, and more

Paytm has announced its partnership with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). As part of the collaboration, the payments app enables users to access useful train-related features, such as ticket booking, train tracking, and Passenger Name Record (PNR) status check.

On the occasion, Paytm spokesperson said, “We provide the most convenient train ticket booking experience to the users with our wide range of features for a trouble-free train journey from start to finish. Our aim is to empower users to make informed decisions on every aspect of their train travel. Paytm app provides a quick and easy ticket experience with enhanced inventories and additions, instant refunds, and a Fast Forward booking option.”

The partnership means that users can book Tatkal tickets right from the Paytm app. Furthermore, they can also look up nearby stations, and train schedules, and check PNR. The app also offers a PNR confirmation prediction feature that will calculate how likely a user is to get a confirmed ticket and come up with a percentage. Moreover, the guaranteed seat assistance option is there to show alternative routes when any particular route is not available.

In addition to the aforementioned features, users can also check the status of any running train live. This includes details such as real-time delay, the estimated arrival time for the next station, the estimated arrival time for the destination, and the destination platform number. There’s an option to track the platform number as well.

Paytm drives flexibility of payments and a secure ticket booking experience with Paytm UPI, Paytm Wallet, net banking, debit cards, and credit cards. Additionally, Paytm has zero payment charges on UPI payments and allows users the option of paying later with Paytm Postpaid.
