Oppo Shows Prototype Of Its New Waterfall Screen Technology
On Monday Oppo Showed Off The Dummy Phone But Did Not Share Any Furthur Details Of It.
Brian Shen, Oppo VP, revealed a new innovation from them, the “Waterfall Screen” technology, where the displays are incredibly curved on the edges.
This is a dual-edge display and almost does not have bezels. In to the shown dummy phone, there are no physical buttons as well as the front camera anywhere. Probably Oppo may use their latest in-display camera technology which they showed on the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Shanghai. Tipster Ice Universe shared some information about this new screen technology of Oppo through Twitter. The display is curved at both left and right sides at 88 degrees. Also, the top and bottom bezels look very thin. That clearly indicates the screen to body ratio is going to be very high as compared to other present smartphones and would be nearly 100 percent.
The South Korean tech giant Samsung first introduced Samsung Galaxy Note Edge in 2014, which has an incredibly curved display at the edges. Mow the Chinese company walking in the same way and trying to extend this technology. If we take a side view of the new prototype from Oppo, we will see the site bezels almost disappear. However, this model was only a prototype that’s why it could late see the smartphones with this latest technology.
