Oppo A78 5G launched in India with MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC: Check price and specifications
The Chinese smartphone brand Oppo on Monday unveiled its latest A-series smartphone Oppo A78 5G in the Indian market. The new Oppo smartphone comes with a MediaTek Helio 700 SoC, and a 50-megapixel dual camera setup. Some other key highlights of the phone have an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W SuperVOOC fast charging. The Oppo A78 5G is priced at Rs 18,999 for only 8GB RAM+128GB storage variant. It is set to go on sale in the country from January 18, 2023, onwards via the company’s official website and Amazon India. The handset will be available in two color options – Glowing Black and Glowing Blue.

The smartphone sports a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. Further, the users can expand the inbuilt memory up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD card slot. On the software front, the Oppo A78 5G runs on Android 13-based ColorOS 13.

In terms of optics, the handset has a dual rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video calling, it features an 8MP camera sensor inside the water drop-style notch.
