Nayanthara gets the first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine in Chennai

South Indian actor Nayanthara has received her first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine yesterday, May 18 with her alleged boyfriend director Vignesh Sivan. The couple took the first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and shared the update with fans on social media.

Sharing the photos, Vignesh Shivan wrote, “Please please get vaccinated. Stay safe, stay indoors #thistooshallpass #idhuvumKadandhuPogum (sic).” #covid_19, #vaccinationdone, #vaccinationeducation and #vaccine are the hashtags he used for his post.

It was in 2015 during the shooting of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan fell in love with each other.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Nayanthara’s last outing in Malayalam is ‘Nizhal’, a film directed by award-winning editor Appu N Bhattathiri. A mystery thriller, ‘Nizhal’ featured Kunchacko Boban and Nayanthara in the lead roles. As Nayanthara hasn’t signed any film in Malayalam after her 2019 release ‘Love Action Drama’, the fans of the actress were eagerly waiting for ‘Nizhal’ and it hit the screens last month.

Nayanthara also has films like Netrikann’ and ‘Annaatthe’ in the pipeline.
