Ministry of Textiles Inviting Nominations For National Handloom Awards 2019

The Ministry of Textiles, which has been promoting and encouraging the Indian handloom sector, asks the nominations for National Handloom Awards 2019.

The Handloom Award is a sub-component of Handloom Marketing assistance. It comes under National Handloom Development Program. To encourage the people who showed excellence in that field, the Office of Development Commissioner (Handlooms) offers the awards. Several awards will be given to the people for a different types of works in their area. The awards such as, SANT KABIR AWARD (SKA): This award is offered to the outstanding handloom weavers who are carrying on with the tradition and have made valuable contributions to that field’s development.

National Award: This award is given to the handloom weavers to recognize their outstanding craftsmanship, contribution, and development of handloom weaving.

There are many awards such as Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay Awards, National Merit Certificate, and many more.

The last date for filing the nomination is December 31, 2020, at 23.45 PM. people can apply for the nomination by visiting the MyGovt website.
