Mahesh Babu remembers his late dad Krishna and pens a heartfelt note

Superstar Krishna breathed his last on November 15 at the age of 80. Days after his passing, his son and celebrated actor Mahesh Babu took to Twitter to share a black-and-white photo of his father, Krishna, who is fondly called a Superstar by fans. He also penned a heartfelt note about the untimely demise of his father.

Sharing the picture, he wrote, “Your life was celebrated. Your passing is being celebrated even more. Such is your greatness. You lived your life fearlessly. Daring and Dashing was your nature. My inspiration, my courage..and all that I looked up to and all that really mattered are gone just like that. But, strangely, I feel this strength in me, which I never really felt before. Now, I’m fearless. Your light will shine in me forever. I will carry your legacy forward. I will make you even proud. Love you nanna. My Superstar (sic).”

Krishna was a former actor, director, and producer known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. In a film career spanning five decades, he starred in more than 350 films. Krishna debuted as a lead actor with the 1965 film Thene Manasulu and went on to star in films such as Sakshi, Pandanti Kapuram, Gudachari 116, James Bond 777, Agent Gopi among many others. He was honored with Padma Bhushan in 2009 for his contribution to Telugu cinema.
