Luxury Water Bus Service Launched From Hooghly To Kolkata

Kolkata ferry has launched a luxury water bus service from Hooghly to Kolkata today. Passengers can reach Kolkata in an hour and a half from Chandannagar.

This is a fully air-conditioned luxury water bus, and the fare has been fixed at Rs. 320. Currently, 70 percent of the seats are being filled. Later, if all the seats are filled, the rent will be 250 rupees.

According to Chandannagar Municipality sources, the water bus will run from Chandannagar to Gangasagar via Kolkata two days a week.

It is learned that the water bus will leave Chandannagar at 8 am. Then it will reach Millennium Park in Kolkata at 10 a.m. with a temporary break at Sheoraphuli. Again, the water bus will start its return journey at 4 pm.

It is learned that the water bus will run three days a week for the time being. If it is a passenger, it will be planned to run for five days later.

Also, special services are being considered on Saturdays, Sundays, and other public holidays. The Chandannagar-Kolkata-Gangasagar or Chandannagar-Kolkata-Sundarbans service is a matter of concern.
