KK’s last song Dhoop Paani Bahne De released from Srijit Mukherji’s Sherdil The Pilibhit Saga

Ahead of the release, the makers of Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga released the first song from the film titled ‘Dhoop Paani Behne De’, on June 6.

The song is sung by late iconic singer KK, written by Gulzar, and has been composed by Shantanu Moitra. The song is the first song to be released after the demise of KK on May 31.

The video of the song features actors Pankaj Tripathi, Neeraj Kabi, and Sayani Gupta. In the song, Pankaj is seen traveling through the forest.

Sharing the song on Twitter along with a YouTube link Reliance Entertainment wrote, “The magical voice of KK is set to mesmerize you yet again. #DhoopPaaniBahneDe from #Sherdil – The Pilibhit Saga, sung by KK, written by Gulzar Saab and composed by Shantanu Moitra (sic).”

Directed by Srijit Mukherji, ‘Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga’ features Pankaj Tripathi, Neeraj Kabi, and Sayani Gupta in lead roles. The film is inspired by true events and focuses on the negative effects of modernization and man-animal conflict.

KK died on May 31 after performing at a concert in Kolkata. He performed at the concert organized by Gurudas College at Nazrul Mancha in south Kolkata. He was 53.

‘Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga’ is presented by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series Film and Reliance Entertainment, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Reliance Entertainment, and production by Match Cut Productions Private Limited.

The film is set to release in theatres on June 24.
