Kejriwal to address parents, children on March 4

New Delhi, April 3 (IANS) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal along with his deputy Manish Sisodia will interact with teachers and parents of all the schools in the city on Saturday and will help them in ‘Parenting in the times of Corona’.

Speaking to the media, Kejriwal said across all the Delhi schools, including the private and MCD schools, about 44 lakh children are enrolled. All the schools are closed due to the lockdown.

“All these children are at their homes asking so many questions. The parents are unable to deal with the questions. So tomorrow at 3 p.m. I will be addressing the children and parents along with Manish Sisoida, and some experts,” Kejriwal said.

He said there are so many questions in children’s minds related to coronavirus. “We will answer some of these questions in ‘Parenting in the times of Corona’,” Kejriwal said.

All the schools across the city and country are closed due to the three-week lockdown imposed by the centre to control the spread of coronavirus.

Sisodia, who is also the Delhi Education Minister, had already announced that the students of the national capital between class nursery and eight will be promoted to the next class under the “no detention policy” of the Right to Education Act.

Sisodia had also announced that with the shutting down of the schools, the education was affected and to compensate for the same, activities through recorded phone calls and messages will be given to the students up to class 8.

Online class has been arranged for Class 12 students as well.
