Kareena Kapoor begins shooting for Sujoy Ghosh’s Netflix crime mystery in Kalimpong
Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has begun shooting for her new film. On Wednesday the actress updated her fans that she is in Kalimpong for her upcoming Netflix film with filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh. The 41-year-old took to Instagram and shared a photo from the film’s set in West Bengal’s district.
She captioned the post, “Day1-KalimpongDevotion of suspect X #sujoyGhosh @netflix_in @jaideepahlawat @itsvijayvarma @jayshewakramani @akshaipuri #thomaskim #AvikMukhopadhyay (sic).”

In the photo, Kareena is sitting on the balcony with a lovely view, while her hair is being made by the hairstylist.
The untitled murder mystery is based on the 2005 bestselling Japanese novel ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’ by acclaimed author Keigo Higashino. Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma will also play important roles in the film.
Sujoy Ghosh, known for thrillers like Vidya Balan-starrer ‘Kahaani’ and Taapsee Pannu’s ‘Badla’, is directing the movie from his own script.
The film is produced by 12th Street Entertainment, Northern Lights Films in association with Ghosh’s Boundscript, and Seoul-based banner Kross Pictures.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena Kapoor’s upcoming film, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, is scheduled to release on August 11, 2022. The film, which is an official remake of Tom Hank-starrer Forrest Gump, actor Aamir Khan plays the lead role in the film.
