Jyotika and Mammooty team up for Jeo Baby’s film Kaathal

The two talented actors of South, Mammootty, and Jyothika have teamed up for an upcoming film titled ‘Kaathal- The Core’. On Tuesday, October 18, on the occasion of Jyothika’s birthday, the Malayalam megastar Mammootty shared the announcement with the title poster. The film is directed by Joe Baby of The Great Indian Kitchen fame.

Mammootty took to Twitter and shared the title poster and wrote, “Here’s unveiling the title of Mammootty Kampany’s next project Directed by Jeo Baby Kaathal – The Core @kaathalthecore Wishing a very happy birthday to Jyotika @MKampanyOffl @DQsWayfarerFilm (sic).”

‘Kaathal- The Core’ marks the return of the Kollywood actor Jyotika to the Malayalam film industry after 12 years. She was previously acted in TK Rajeevkumar’s Seetha Kalyanam, in 2009 starring opposite Jayaram.

Produced by ‘Mammootty Kampany’, the film will be distributed by Dulquer Salman’s Wayfarer Films. The team is expected to reveal more updates regarding the rest of the star cast and shooting schedules of the project, very soon.

According to the reports, the film is touted to be a family drama and will go on floors in November.
