Jyoti Nooran’s new song Saiyan is out now

Jyoti Nooran, one-half of the famous sister-duo Nooran Sisters, has a new single on its way. Jyoti joined the limelight from Sufi singing, so rightly, her latest single is dedicated to Allah. Mumbai-based musician singer Ayaz Ismail, presently a resident of Canada, has composed the song and lent his voice to it.

Jyoti Nooran, a resident of Jalandhar, has proved her mettle in playback singing in films like Highway, Tiger Zinda Hai, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Singh is Bling.

Kunal Verma has penned Saiyan’s lyrics, and you can also hear Jameel Aasani in the song. Saiyan refers to Ali and Allah, “The lyrics and composition have brought the sur closer to Allah,” says Jyoti.

She adds, “I have sung in many excellent compositions, but the poetry of this song is powerful. It has enhanced my singing. When you listen, you feel that you are praying to Allah in His midst.

“A song’s lyrics give birth to unforgettable music; this is how one makes history. My kalam is heart-warming,’ Jyoti says, praising lyricist Kunaal Verma.

“As is his will, Maula gave me a chance to create something in his name and made him a medium,” says Jyoti about her collaborator on this song, Ayaz Ismail.

The soulful singer recorded the song in India, while musician Ayaz created music from a distant land. Did she face any difficulties? “It is challenging, but the last few years have taught artists new techniques. Allah has shown the way.”

Jyoti has been in the music industry for over a decade now. What changes has she experienced since then? “Nothing is easy without the will of Allah; I am thankful to Him.”

Sharing an anecdote of her first song recording, she says, “When I was six years old, I recorded my first song standing on the tabla with my father, Ustad Gulshan Mir ji.”

When did she enter the music industry? Jyoti smiles and declares, “Music is in our blood; music is in our soul.” You can stream the song from this soulful singer on all leading platforms.
