Jersey Trailer out: Shahid Kapoor gives a touching performance as ex-cricketer in ‘Jersey’ trailer
The much-awaited trailer of Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur’s Jersey has been released on Tuesday. Jersey, which is the Hindi remake of the 2019 Telugu movie of the same name, features. The film stars Mrunal Thakur as Shahid Kapoor’s wife and Pankaj Kapur as his mentor.
The film is director Gowtam Tinnanuri, who helmed the original, has directed the Hindi version as well.
Taking to Twitter Shahid Kapoor has shared the trailer and wrote “It’s here… (sic).”

The almost 3-minute long trailer for Jersey takes the audience into the life of a former cricketer played by Shahid and his wife, played by Mrunal. It opens with a jobless Shahid trying to fulfill his son’s dream to buy a jersey. He tries to get his wife to lend some money but she refuses. He then goes door-to-door, trying to arrange for money but eventually ends up trying to steal money from his wife’s wallet.
Jersey looks like the perfect Bollywood film with family drama, romance, sports, and a dash of action in it.
Jersey is set to release in theatres on December 31.
