Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur’s Pippa to release in cinemas on Dec 9, 2022

On the special occasion of the 50th anniversary of Vijay Diwas, the makers of ‘Pippa’ have announced the release date of the film. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur, Soni Razdan and Priyanshu Painyuli will be playing a leading role in this film.

Sharing the update, Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “ISHAAN KHATTER – MRUNAL THAKUR: ‘PIPPA’ ON 9 DEC 2022… #Pippa – the 1971 war film starring #IshaanKhatter, #MrunalThakur, #PriyanshuPainyuli and #SoniRazdan – to release in *cinemas* on 9 Dec 2022… Currently filming across #Amritsar, #WestBengal, #Ahmednagar and #Mumbai.”

The film is based on the book titled ‘The Burning Chaffees’, written by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. It follows the story of war veteran Brigadier Mehta of the 45th Cavalry tank squadron. In the war drama, Ishaan Khatter essays the role of Brigadier Mehta, while Mrunal Thakur plays his younger sister. Priyanshu Painyuli will be seen playing Ishaan’s elder brother and Soni Razdan will essay in the role of their mother.

Backed by producers Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur, the film Pippa is all set to hit the theatres on December 9, 2022.
