IPL 2021: KKR vs RCB Match in Ahmedabad likely to be cancelled amidst COVID scare
IPL 2021 Match 30 between Kolkata Knight Rider and Royal Challengers Bangalore has been rescheduled.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken the step after several players and staff from the KKR camp reportedly fell ill.
Cricbuzz learns that some sort of communication has gone from the BCCI office to Ahmedabad, the venue of Monday’s game, and the local organizers, Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) have been told that the game will be rescheduled. The new date for the match will be announced on Monday afternoon, the GCA members have been told.
Players and staff are in isolation and as per reports, Australian Pat Cummins is one of the players to have tested positive for Covid-19.
KKR is placed seventh in the points tally and RCB third.
