India vs Australia: David Warner included in the Aussie squad for third, fourth Tests

Australian opener David Warner has made a comeback within the squad for the third and the fourth Tests against India.

Warner, who has been recuperating from the groin injury that he suffered during the ODI series against India last month, joins fellow opener Will Pucovski in coming back in the Test team.

The 22-year-old Pucovski had also been in line to make his Test debut in the first match of the series in Adelaide before the ninth concussion of his young career ruled him out of the opening two games.

Aussie skipper Tim Paine mentioned “David looks really good from what I’ve seen. He’s obviously been training in the nets and he’s started running a bit between the wickets, so the early signs for him are very good for the third Test, which is awesome for us.”

Notably, Warner has changed Aussie opener Joe Burns who has been dropped for the rest of the test sequence.

31-year old Burns has been dropped as he could only manage the scores of 8, 51*, 0, and 4 in the opening two Tests.

Australia Test squad: Tim Paine (c), Sean Abbott, Pat Cummins, Cameron Green, Marcus Harris, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Moises Henriques, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Michael Neser, James Pattinson, Will Pucovski, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Swepson, Matthew Wade, David Warner.
