India Lockdown Trailer: Madhur Bhandarkar’s film recalls the horror of Covid-19

The trailer of Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘India Lockdown’, starring Shweta Basu Prasad, Prateik Babbar, and Ahana Kumra has been unveiled by the makers. The Zee5 film is based on the initial days of the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic when the government called for a 21-day lockdown across the country.

The trailer shows how people from various backgrounds – a pilot, a sex worker, a daily-wage laborer, a house worker, are trying to survive their life and back to normal.

Director Madhur Bhandarkar shared the trailer of the film on Twitter and wrote, “The tragedy you know, the untold stories you don’t! #IndiaLockdown teaser, premieres 2nd Dec only on #ZEE5 (sic).”

The film is backed by Jayantilal Gada of PEN Studios, Madhur Bhandarkar’s Bhandarkar Entertainment, and Pranav Jain’s P J Motions Pictures. ‘India Lockdown’ will exclusively stream on 2nd December on Zee5.
