I had to gather a lot of inner strength to push Ayub Ji, says Jeevansh Chadha

Mumbai: While acting as a profession is known for its glamorous side, it is very challenging to shoot action sequences. Hitting your co-stars is all fun and games until you have to do it to a very senior actor. Jeevansh Chadha, who is currently seen in Dangal TV’s Ranju Ki Betiyaan had to gather a lot of inner strength when he had to push his on-screen father Ayub Khan.

Sharing some details of the sequence and his experience, Jeevansh says, “Our epic “Thappad Scene” was shown to be quite harsh and emotionally a heavy scene but we had some amazing Behind the Scenes memories to it. Paraphrasing the scene, Lucky, played by Karan Khandelwal and I encountered Bhuwan Kaka cheating over us in the repulsion of which I slapped him, watching this, unknown of the fact, our on-screen father, Ayub Ji smashed us. As soon as he stepped ahead to hit our on-screen mother, Deepshikha Ji, and to protect her I pushed him back to which, we were slammed by her for the act of disrespecting our father. Sounds too much slapping and smashing, right? Indeed, it was! While Karan was hit harder during the reeling, I experienced some pretty serious hits from Deepshikha Ji during our rehearsals. To which surely, she just laughed. As helpless as it may sound, we rather had much fun even when we were on the bearers’ side. Also, I had to collect a lot of inner strength, keeping aside my consciousness as I had to push Ayub Ji whom I respect and adore to the core. Setting up an aggressive mood for the scene was a prerequisite. So yeah, as challenging as the scene was to shoot, we had even more fun and catered learnings from it. So far, the best shoot day, if I say so!”

Such scenes appear to be to a lot of fun behind the scenes but on-screen it makes the viewer emotional.
