Google Chrome adds new tools to help users holiday shopping easier

Google is rolling out a handful of convenient tools on Chrome to make it easier for its users to finish their holiday shopping very easily. In a recent official blog post, Google has detailed some tips and tricks for online shoppers to finish off their holiday shopping. Here’s how Google is helping.

Track price drops:

Starting with the first one, Google is adding a new price-drop tracker to the open-tabs grid on Chrome for Android. The tracker will show the current price alongside the original price of an item on top of a tab in the open-tabs grid of the browser. With this, you can see the discounted price of an item right away, so that you can keep track of the price change on Chrome.

Get a discount offer on your cart:

When you add items to your shopping cart, Chrome will find available discount codes from the retailer and automatically show them at checkout. Just open the New Tab Page anytime you need to track down existing shopping carts and you’ll see available discounts there, too.

Search your items by Google Lens:

If you see a product you like while out shopping at a store, you can search for it instantly using Google Lens in Chrome for Android. From the address bar, simply tap the Lens icon and start a search.

Soon, you’ll also be able to use Lens with Chrome on your desktop. There, if you find a product that interests you and you want to learn more about it, just right-click and select the “Search images with Google Lens” option. Draw over that item with your mouse, and Lens will display any results it finds in a new tab.

Complete your shopping with Autofill:

Lastly, you can save time and let Chrome fill out everything automatically with previously saved info, like your addresses or payment details from Google Pay. (Plus, Chrome will always check to see if you want to save that info for the next purchase).

However, these features are currently available starting in the U.S. on desktops and Android devices. Google will also roll out these features to iOS users within the next few weeks.
