Former Goa Governor Mridula dies at 77; PM Modi condoles demise of veteran BJP leader

Former Goa Governor and veteran Bharatiya Janata Party leader Mridula Sinha have passed away on Wednesday.

She was Born on November 27, 1942, at Chhapra village in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur, she was a renowned Hindi writer.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled her death and hailed the BJP leader for her efforts towards public service.

PM Modi wrote on his Twitter handle, ” Smt. Mridula Sinha Ji will be remembered for her efforts towards public service. She was also a proficient writer, making extensive contributions to the world of literature as well as culture. Anguished by her demise. Condolences to her family and admirers. Om Shanti.”

Sinha served as the Governor of Goa from August 2014 to October 2019.
