Fire in Delhi Covid hospital, no casualty

New Delhi, May 23 (IANS) A fire broke out at the Covid dedicated Cygnus Orthocare Hospital in the national capital on Saturday, with Delhi Fire service evacuating eight patients. No casualty was reported.
The fire broke out at the operation theatre and the recovery room of the hospital on the third floor, Atul Garg, Director of Delhi Fire Service, said.
According to the Delhi Fire Service, eight fire tenders were rushed to the hospital to douse the fire, which was brought under control within an hour. “There were eight patients in the hospital and all have been evacuated,” Garg said.
Among the eight patients, five were males and three were females.
The hospital started functioning as a paid Covid facility from May 18.
