BJP leader Manoj Tiwari tests positive for COVID-19, isolated himself
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Manoj Tiwari on Tuesday informed that he has tested positive for Covid-19 and has a mild fever and cold.
Tiwari also said that he felt unwell, he had isolated himself yesterday itself. In a tweet in Hindi, Tiwari said, “Yesterday (Jan 2 ) I was feeling unwell since night. Due to mild fever and cold, I could not even go for Uttarakhand-Rudrapur campaign yesterday. I have come positive in the test today.. Taking precautions, I had isolated myself yesterday only. Please take care of yourself and your family (sic).”

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Union Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey are among the politicians who said they have tested positive today.
The threat of COVID-19 and the fast-spreading Omicron variant looms over elections in states like Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, where political parties continue to hold rallies. The Election Commission has said political parties want polls to be held with following strict COVID-19 safety guidelines.
Mr. Kejriwal was seen in a huge crowd in Punjab before he tweeted that he has tested positive.
According to a media report, the Delhi Disaster Management Committee will review the national capital’s Covid-19 situation at a meeting on Tuesday. The positivity rate in Delhi was recorded at 6.46% on Monday.
